I've decided to start dating and recording my thoughts. First off, I suppose I should introduce myself. My name is Emily and I'm a sixteen year old high school sophomore. Everyday from 9:20 until 10:00 a.m. I like to write about whatever is running through my mind. Why at this time? Well because this is the stretch of time I sit in my Honors English II class wanting to kill myself. Today Mr. Marquart is babbling on and on about death and some poem called Thanatopsis. Everyday I sit here bored to tears, wondering how any of this crap is applicable to my life.

Let's see... more about my life outside of this room 406 prison. I'm on my high school bowling team and also in a Saturday morning league. At the Saturday league I have this crush on a guy there named Mike. I really want to ask him to the Sophomore Cotillion but he doesn't go to my school - and what's my appeal anyway? But what if I were to ask him and he said yes?! I'm so shy but I really do want to ask him...

Well anyway, my friends are just about the greatest people in my life. I know I only met most of them last year, but I love them so much.

Michelle - What can I say? I've known her since first grade and we always have the craziest times together.

Meghan - I first met her when I sat down next to her on the first day of 5th grade. We weren't really friends at first but now we are best friends!

Amy - We met at tennis over the summer. She's like my dose of sanity, lol!

Mel - The first new friend I made at Eustace. She's so unique and confident with herself.

Tara - We first really became friends that crazy day we walked to Wendy's after school.

Allison - We started hanging out that fun Friday in the library. This girl is insane but she's hilarious. (And great at bowling, lol!) And we share an obsession with the Flyers that is actually pretty creepy.

Brandon - He always is able to make me laugh with all the things he says that don't even make sense! I don't even know what he's talking about half of the time.

Greg - We're not BEST friends but he is pretty nice (most of the time) and is a good person to be sitting next to in French class.

Shayna - She is so hilarious with her obsession with the David Blaine videos and fear of carcinogens. She makes homeroom fun! And we both LOVE the Narnia movies ;)
